Abortion Foes Advance Cause at State Level
Be advised that the recent OK legislation is not an anamoly:
At least 11 states have passed laws this year regulating or restricting abortion, giving opponents of abortion what partisans on both sides of the issue say is an unusually high number of victories. In four additional states, bills have passed at least one house of the legislature.

The new laws range from an Arizona ban on coverage of abortion in the state employees’ health plan to a ban in Nebraska on all abortions after 20 weeks, on the grounds that the fetus at that stage can feel pain.
Wondering why Nebraska has banned abortion after 20 weeks? That would be because Nebraska is the home of Dr Leroy Carhart, one of the remaining two US doctors skilled enough to perform late term abortions since last year’s murder of Dr Tiller. That would also be the reason why Operation Rescue has shut up shop in KS and relocated to Nebraska: because with Tiller’s assasination, Carhart is now top of their hit list. And since Operation Rescue is essentially the public face of the Army of God, take ‘hit list’ quite literally.
Read the whole article for more. More anti-abortion legislation has been passed or is pending than at any time since the mid 90’s. In other words, they are energized whenever there is a Democratic POTUS; that’s when anti-choice movements spike upward. The 90’s were also the last time we saw the assasination of abortion providers. Everything old is new again.
